Customised filtration can be added to address your local water profile
- Heavy Metals – Water heavy metals are naturally occurring or man-made elements, often found in water, that can be toxic to humans and ecosystems in high concentrations. Common examples include lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, and chromium, which can enter water supplies through industrial and agricultural runoff, mining, and the corrosion of pipes. Excessive exposure can lead to serious health problems like organ damage, neurological issues, and cancer.
- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) – Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are chemicals that both vaporize into air and dissolve in water. VOCs are pervasive in daily life, because they’re used in industry, agriculture, transportation, and day-to-day activities around the home. Once released into groundwater, many VOCs are persistent and can migrate to drinking-water supply wells.
- Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) – For well water, your drinking water may be at risk if it is near a known PFAS-contaminated site or source. PFAS sources may include fire training facilities, military areas, airports, certain manufacturing facilities, and some waste disposal sites. Epidemiological studies have revealed associations between exposure to specific PFAS and a variety of health effects, including altered immune and thyroid function, liver disease, lipid and insulin dysregulation, kidney disease, adverse reproductive and developmental outcomes, and cancer.
